  • What is Six Sigma ?
  • Six Sigma application .
  • DPMW & Six Sigma Level .
  • 3 Six Sigma vs. 6 Sigma process.
  • Hidden factory .
  • Six Sigma vs. TQM.
  • Historical view of Six Sigma.
  • Explain the master Back Belt (MBB), Black Belt (BB) Green Belt (GB) & Orange Belt (OB), roles in Six Sigma.
  • DMAIC overview .

Define Phase: 

  • Describe the purpose of the define phase & it’s Key deliverables : CTQ, team charter & process map .
  • Define & scope project
  • Project characteristics / project charter
  • Use WBS / Pareto diagram
  • Determine critical path using Activity network diagram .
  • Use Affinity group to Generate & categorize ideas .
  • Select important ideas using prioritization matrix .

Measure  Phase: 

  • Measure process baseline .
  • Tools to define process as flow charts process map & SIPOC .
  • Use different metrics to evaluate process.
  • Formulate a model for your project .
  • Differentiate between special & common Course of variation .

Analyze Phase: 

  • Analyze value stream map .

A mixture of short presentations, interactive discussion, individual exercises and group work. The emphasis throughout is on a practical approach using case material and examples.
